The bulk of my professional experience is in education, so I do have a unique perspective on the day-to-day logistics of the roles that educators, related service personnel, and educational administrators play. While I would consider educators my specialty, Job Spark is meant for professionals at every level from any field.

I am always available via email and LinkedIn for followup questions and communication. In fact, I urge all of my one-on-one clients to update me as they continue on in their search. Their feedback allows me to strengthen my own work.

If a client requires extensive time and/or is requesting additional work beyond brief messaging, they may be asked to book another session. For resume writing services, I provide one additional draft after client review, and after that I do not provide an additional resume.

Great question! I have over 10 years of experience and have written over 500 resumes- as a Career Coach at Teacher Career Coach, a contract employee for TopStack Resumes, and as a friend/colleague. My knowledge and understanding of best practices in writing resumes and cover letters was strengthened by my training and experiences in human resources and recruiting for a large RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) firm as well as a mid-size tech company.

I do not currently have any professional certifications in writing resumes- and to be blunt, a certification alone doesn’t guarantee resume writing skills. Many other fields (technical writing, fiction writing, medical writing, etc.) do not require certification, and resume writing certification programs can be costly and yield mixed results. It is my belief that lived experiences can often outweigh titles/certifications, and I am confident in my own skills and abilities to write without a certification.

Yes! The “ATS” can sound like something scary and unknown, but it’s simply a repository for candidate applications and resumes, and also a place where recruiters and hiring managers can review resumes quickly, make notes on screening calls, and track candidates as they move through the stages of the hiring process.

All of the resumes created at Job Spark are ATS friendly.
